All children under 18 years of age accompanying a C&CC member will camp free of charge. Members attention is drawn to green paper 3.18 regarding the use of pup tents for children.

The attractive town of Winchcombe is a short drive from the site. It has “Walkers are Welcome” status and a tempting variety of top restaurants, pubs and tea shops. Further afield Cheltenham with its elegant Regency houses, award-wining gardens and stylish shops is worth visiting.
The Winchcombe Way Footpath is adjacent to the site and guidebooks are available at reception.

Important information: Follow on Meet to Isle of Wight

Both Fort Widley and Isle of Wight Meets will commence at 2pm on day 1 and close no later than noon on day 5. Members wishing to stay on at Fort Widley or wishing to arrive early at Heathfield Farm Camping will please need to make own arrangements separate to both Meets. Members are responsible for making their own ferry bookings. Jeff Morgan has advised that this can be achieved very economically by booking early and being flexible regarding time of travel. Club travel services offer good deals – Click “Book on-line”at the below address – 50% member discount for motorhomes and 20% cars and caravans – together with the very reasonable site fees a very attractive proposition. You will select the required crossing and see the full cost but this will be reduced by the discount at checkout.
